Simon Cai has been the CFO of Yunmanman since June 2017. Yunmanman is a fully owned subsidiary of Full Truck Alliance (Manbang Group), which is the largest truck matching platform globally. Full Truck Alliance is backed by investors such as Softbank Vision Fund, Tiger Global, Tencent, Baidu, Google Capital, Sequoia Capital and Hillhouse.

Simon also co-founded Hantak Investment Advisors, one of the leading high frequency trading firms in China, in 2013.

Prior to joining Yunmanman. Simon worked as an investment banker at Nomura, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and Lazard in Hong Kong and Beijing from 2004-2017. Simon advised Dongfeng Motor on its EUR800m investment into Peugeot S.A. in 2014.

Simon graduated from Tsinghua University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2004.

Simon is a PADI certified diver and Microsoft Certified System Engineer.

CAO Jiahan 曹嘉涵

CAO Jiahan is a research fellow at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Since 2015, he has been co-executive editor of China Quarterly of International Strategic Studies (CQISS), the flagship journal of SIIS. CAO received his Ph.D. in History in 2011 from Fudan University. In September 2008-January 2009, CAO was studying at National Taiwan University (NTU) as an exchange student, and he also had research and training experiences at several world renowned think thanks, including Hoover Institution, Stanford University (June-August 2009), German Development Institute (July-September 2014), Stockholm Environment Institute (October-December 2014) and Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) in Honolulu (February-March 2017).

CAO’s research interests include U.S. energy strategy and policy, the implementation of United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, non-traditional security cooperation in Asia-Pacific as well as the political and economic dynamics in Central Eurasia.

Elle a travaillé au Parlement Européen, chargée de partenariats au CNRS, Chef de projet et conseillère de plusieurs élus.

Elle est experte sur les sujets transports, mobilité, Industrie et agriculture. Elle a forgé son expertise et ses compétences qui ont été reconnues par les différentes institutions, partenaires et élus qu’elle a côtoyés, en France comme à l’étranger.

Elle parle également trois langues : anglais, portugais et espagnol.

CHANG Jian 常健

Jian Chang joined China’s foreign service in 2003, after graduating from the Beijing Foreign Studies University with a BA in diplomatic studies. He later spent a year in the mid 2000s on a government scholarship program at the University of Westminster in London, graduating with a MA in interpretation and translation with diplomacy.

He began his diplomatic career working as an interpreter for the Foreign Ministry on a variety of domestic and overseas missions till early 2010s, during which he was once posted at the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa, Canada for 2 years, covering bilateral relations and research.

Around beginning of this decade, he joined the Ministry’s European Department, working mainly on UK, Ireland and Malta files as deputy division director and was briefly posted at the Chinese Embassy in London covering political affairs.

After secondment at the Research Office of the State Council for 2 and a half years, he rejoined the European Department last year, now serving as division director overseeing general affairs and public diplomacy.

Jian Chang does regular swimming exercises and amateur coding.

He is married to a fellow diplomat with interpretation and ASEAN affairs background. They have an 8-year-old son.

William Chung is the Supervisor of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the largest youth service organisation in Hong Kong. He is a member of the senior management team, focusing on corporate planning, staff development, membership and volunteer management. His major duties include setting the corporate and talent development strategies, engaging over 450,000 members and 220,000 registered volunteers online and offline and enhancing user experience through data analysis.

Before taking up the supervisory position in this well-established NGO, he served as the Senior Programme Manager of the HKFYG Leadership Institute. He coordinated the School of Leadership Skills and the School of Public Engagement, developed local and overseas partnership and explored resources.

William is the editorial board member of Youth Hong Kong, HKFYG’s quarterly English journal. Granted by the HKFYG Council, he further studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for the Master of Arts in Values Education in 2012, with research focus in developing youth’s responsibility through social service learning. In 2016, He was nominated to join the American Express Leadership Academy with emerging NGO leaders from Hong Kong, India and The UK. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in both Chinese and English Languages in 2008.

FU Jing 付敬

Mr. FU acts as managing director of China Daily’s China Watch Institute and columnist mainly addressing China-Europe issues. After ending his eight-year posting as China Daily’s chief correspondent in the European Union Bureau, he is now in charge of the communication-led think tank, China Watch, launched by China Daily to forge a network of global thinkers on China issues.

During his almost two-decade stint in achieving journalism excellence, Mr. Fu has covered macro economy, agriculture, rural issues, migrants, urbanization, climate change and energy, poverty and human development, science & technology and for a long period of time, he is a member of the news room’s breaking news taskforce. Since 2009, Mr. FU has been following diplomatic tours for Chinese president and premier. In 2016 he became the Deputy chief of China Daily European Bureau. During his stay in Brussels and London, he has travelled to many European and neighboring countries to cover Sino-Europe relations.

In 2015, Mr. FU won the first prize of China News Award for his article “Silk Road initiatives fit into EU recovery goals”. Owing to his outstanding career experience, he was nominated by the Changjiang and Taofen Journalism Award in 2016, the highest national honor for Chinese newsroom professionals. He was also awarded the “May Day Labour Medal” for his remarkable performance in the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan in 2008 .

In the recent ten years, as a writer, translator and co-author, six books of Mr. FU in English or Chinese have been published and they cover the topics on climate change, sustainable development, Belt and Road Initiative, Wenchuan earthquake and China-Europe relations.

GAO Can 高参

Widely recognized as one of the most talented violinists of his generation, Mr. GAO Can enjoys an international career, appearing with major orchestras and at prestigious venues and festivals throughout the world.

In March 2015, Mr. Gao was invited to the closing ceremony at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) to perform in front of 17 national leaders and thousands of political and business leaders from all over the world. On that occasion, he played with the 1727 Stradivarius violin ex-General Dupont, the first Stradivarius violin collected by Mainland Chinese entrepreneur and the only violin to be broadcasted in space by the NASA.

In 2014, Mr. Gao was appointed the ambassador of the renowned Verbier Festival (VFO) and has become the only official ambassador of Chinese nationality. In the same year he was elected the new committee member of the Violin Society of the Chinese Musicians Association. As one of the very symbol of Chinese young musicians, he was included in the « Impression China » series of the China Post, which published a set of personal stamp and postcards entitled “Chinese Cultural Artists”in early 2015.

China Recording Arts Association (CRA) has recently released his latest album “Collection of Live Recordings of Gao Can” in recognition of his accomplishment.

A la sortie de l’ENA en 2004, Sibyle Veil intègre le Conseil d’État. Elle rejoint en juin 2007 à l’Elysée l’équipe qui conseille le Président de la République française sur le secteur social. Elle y suit alors pendant trois ans à l’Elysée les grandes réformes sociales. En 2010, elle est recrutée à l’Assistance publique – Hôpitaux de Paris pour y mener un programme de transformation de ses 37 hôpitaux dans le contexte tendu des restructurations hospitalières. Directrice de la transformation, elle y anime la réflexion stratégique et y organise le déploiement de programmes de transformation dans les hôpitaux..  Recrutée à Radio France en juin 2015, elle y a exercé les fonctions de Directrice déléguée en charge des opérations et des finances pendant trois années. Elle a été désignée Présidente de Radio France le 12 avril 2018.

Olivier VERAN

Praticien hospitalier, Olivier Véran exerce en qualité de neurologue au CHU de Grenoble-La Tronche. Très vite, parallèlement à son activité professionnelle, il s’engage dans le milieu syndical et associatif, devenant notamment doyen des internes des hôpitaux de Grenoble, porte-parole de l’InterSyndicat National des Internes des Hôpitaux et conseiller titulaire à l’ordre départemental des médecins de l’Isère.

Il est élu en qualité de suppléant de la députée socialiste Geneviève Fioraso en juin 2012. Cette dernière ayant été nommée ministre de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche, il entre à l’Assemblée nationale en juillet 2012 jusqu’au 5 avril 2015, date de la démission de la ministre pour des raisons de santé.

Il est ensuite élu conseiller régional en décembre 2015 et exerce toujours sa fonction localement. Soutien d’Emmanuel Macron, alors candidat La République En Marche à l’élection présidentielle de 2017, dont il est devenu le référent santé, il a été élu député de la première circonscription de l’Isère le 18 juin 2017 et a été nommé rapporteur général de la Commission des affaires sociales, en charge du projet de loi de financement de la Sécurité sociale.

 

Raphaël VIALLE

Chirurgien Orthopédiste Pédiatre et titulaire d’une Thèse d’université en Neurosciences, le professeur Raphaël VIALLE est spécialisé dans la prise en charge des déformations complexes de la colonne vertébrale de l’enfant et de l’adolescent. Il est le responsable du Département Hospitalo-Universitaire « Maladies Musculo-Squelettiques et Innovations Thérapeutiques (DHU MAMUTH) » qui a pour but de promouvoir la recherche et l’innovation dans le domaine des maladies musculaires et squelettiques.

Il fédère et encourage la recherche translationnelle de plus de 20 structures de soins, d’enseignement et de recherche autour de ces thématiques au sein de Sorbonne Université. Membre de nombreuses sociétés nationales et internationales il a publié plus de 120 articles scientifiques dans des revues internationales et est l’auteur de plus de 30 chapitres d’ouvrages.

Enseignant et chercheur à Sorbonne Université, il assure la formation pratique et académique des étudiants et des futurs jeunes médecins et chirurgiens, français et étrangers, en chirurgie orthopédique pédiatrique.

Designer, Née à Paris en 1985, vit et travaille à Paris. Victoria est passée par l’école Camondo à Paris, puis le Royal College of Art de Londres pour son master de design produit sous la direction de Ron Arad. Victoria Wilmotte a créé son studio à Paris en 2009.

La signature de VW s’affirme aujourd’hui comme une marque, à travers ses créations personnelles et ses collaborations avec de nombreux clients.

Elle répond aussi bien à des sujets d’édition avec des industriels, des commandes privées sur mesure, réalisées au sein même de la VW Factory à Paris, qu’à la réalisation de tables monumentales en marbre.

Chongqing Pai Sen Bai orange juice Co., Ltd developed citrus industry in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. It is national leading enterprises of agricultural industrialization. A complete citrus industry chain has been built, « selection and breeding of good varieties, seedling cultivation, orange grove construction, and juice processing and orange peels harmless treatment ». The company established their scientific and technical system with 10 years of citrus industry practice, undertook more than twenty projects about the citrus varieties, planting, processing during the tenth five-year plan to twelfth tenth five-year plan. It has the only National Citrus Engineering Technology Research Center and Chongqing Citrus Engineering Technology Research Center. The company compiled and applied Breeding procedures, The standardized citrus grove rules and The Enterprise Standard of not from concentrated orange juice in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. Provided free fruit grove design, free seedlings, free technical training to help farmers, and lend money to them to buy pesticides, fertilizers. The company organized 430 Citrus technical training classes, trained more than 60 thousands farmers. Until now the company has built 220 thousands mu standardized citrus grove in Chongqing of Three Gorges Reservoir area helped 200 thousands farmers (including 30 thousands reservoir resettlements) to increase incomes, creating a new mode of Chinese modern citrus industry.

YUAN Yuyu 袁玉宇

YUAN Yuyu is the founder and CEO of Medprin Regenerative Medical Technologies Co., Ltd., and Deputy to the National People’s Congress.

He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University, South Carolina, USA in 2007. He makes significant progress on the study of regenerative medicine and biomedical engineering, has published more than 20 papers and applied more than 200 patents worldwide.

In September 2008, aimed to realize the industrialization of world leading regenerative medicine technologies, and break the long-term monopoly of imported high-end implantable medical device in the Chinese market, He went back to China and founded Medprin with his team. They established the 3D bioprinting technology platform and developed various new implantable medical devices for accurate and efficient tissue repair. To date, Medprin’s products have entered more than 60 counties and regions, competing with world leaders and benefiting about two hundred thousand patients worldwide.

He is one of the experts and committee members of the Additive Manufacturing Alliance of China and committee members of several professional societies, promoting 3D printing development in the biomedical industry in China.

ZHENG Tengfei 郑腾飞

Tengfei got her bachelor’s degree in science from Peking University in 2003 and a PhD degree in Biochemistry from MIT in 2014.

After graduation from MIT, Tengfei chose to leave academia and went back to China. She worked in Henan Provincial Department of Environment Protection for a year, focusing on air pollution management. Then she switched her career path to education. She designed curriculum for afterschool science education institute, and coached high school and undergraduate students for upper level degree application. In August 2016, Tengfei joined Shanghai Pinghe School, a private school with grade 1-12 students. She has been working on reconstructing a 12-year continuous science curriculum, aiming to offer good science literacy training to all students. She is also in charge of the opening and operation of a new primary school campus, Shanghai Little Bridge School, formatting the school curriculum scheme, including student, teacher and parent curriculums. Besides school management and curriculum design, she is also teaching IBDP chemistry and theory of knowledge for high school students and science for 1st graders.

Shanghai Pinghe School (SPS), located in Pudong, Shanghai, was founded in 1996. In 2015, SPS was named by Forbes magazine as one of the eight most popular international schools in Shanghai. SPS high school was certified by the International Baccalaureate Organization in 2002, and most courses are taught in English. More than 90% SPS graduates are admitted by top-50 US universities. As one of the two new primary school campus, Shanghai Little Bridge School has already been a very popular choice among middle-class parents after one-year operation.

Mr. Zhou has more than 15 year’s experiences in corporate finance and business development with expertise in areas of corporate strategy, merger & acquisition and post deal integration. Coming from a strong industry background in logistics and transportation, he has worked for multi-national companies, Chinese enterprises as well as professional services located both in China and overseas.

Mr. Zhou is currently working for Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG), and is in charge of the company’s investment and corporate development both in China and internationally. Being one of the leading port operators globally and the operator of the world biggest port-Shanghai, SIPG is one of the largest Chinese listing company of which its investment portfolio covers not only traditional port and logistics business but also finance & banking, real estate development, professional sports, etc. Mr. Zhou has been with SIPG for more than 5 years, and led major projects including China Postal Bank IPO, OOCL take-over, Port of Haifa (Israel) bidding, among others.

Mr. Zhou graduated from West Virginia University in 2003 with Master Degree in Business and Administration. Mr. Zhou is a member of China National Democratic Construction Association, and serves in District Committee of the China People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Shanghai. He is a also a Arbitrator of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (SHIAC).

Mr. Zhou is married and has two daughters. His hobby includes football, basketball, badminton, hiking, and traveling.
