LE PROGRAMME

Le programme « Young Leaders » est le programme phare de la France China Foundation.

Il se réalise en partenariat avec le Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA).

Chaque année une trentaine de personnalités françaises et chinoises sont sélectionnées, âgées de 30 à 45 ans, qui seront amenées à jouer un rôle important dans leur pays et dans les relations franco-chinoises et internationales.
Les lauréats participent à deux séminaires successifs de quatre jours, alternativement en France et en Chine, dans une ville ou une région choisie en raison de son importance politique, économique et culturelle.
Chaque séminaire inclut des sessions de discussion en fonction de l’actualité des deux pays, des rencontres avec des personnalités de premier plan, ainsi que des visites de sites industriels ou de lieux importants de la vie politique et culturelle du pays. Le programme « Young Leaders » met notamment l’accent sur les échanges intra-groupe afin de renforcer les liens entre les participants et de favoriser les échanges futurs.

The 2013 session brought together 35 Chinese and French young and open-minded leaders in Bordeaux and Paris, during a four-day seminar, from August 30th to September 2nd .

• Interview with Mr. Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Quai d’Orsay
• Interview with Mr. Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister, the Senate
• Visit of emblematic sites (industrial and cultural) in Bordeaux and Paris
• Visit of “grands crus classés” castles: La Fleur-Pétrus and Smith Haut-Laffite
• Roundtable about sustainable development and debate with its main actors in France
• Gala evening at Le Louvre, notably in the presence of strategic committee members of the foundation

Les critères de sélection

Le Comité de sélection évalue les candidats en fonction de leur capacité à se démarquer dans leur domaine d’activité respectif et de leur potentiel de leadership dans leur pays. Il promeut la diversité des profils et des domaines d’activité (monde des affaires, politique, culture, médias…).

Critères propres au candidat

  • Dans ses choix, le Comité de Sélection recherche :
    – une représentation équilibrée des secteurs d’activités dont sont issus les « Young Leaders » : monde politique, administration et armées ; entreprise et entrepreneuriat, art, médias, de recherche et milieu associatif.
  • Une ouverture et une diversité sociale ainsi qu’une parité hommes- femmes;
